Adolphe Quetelet, 1796 - 1874, astronomer, mathematician and illustrious statistician, founder and director of the Belgian Royal Observatory, lived in this building from 1832 to 1874.

As you can partially tell from the photo of the site, one cannot get close to this plaque. What the photo doesn’t show is the Alsatian dog that stopped us even thinking about getting closer. The building worthy of all this protection is "Cabinet du ministre des telecommunications et des enterprises et participation publiques".
