Plaque: Affordable Housing & Leopold II
29 May 1893 H.M. King Leopold II laid the first stone of this house, the hundredth built by the Cooperative Society of Ixelles for the Construction of Affordable Housing.

Not missing a marketing opportunity, the builders have placed another similar but smaller stone in the front wall of the house (in the photo this is hidden by the car): "Ase. GELLÉ ARCHITECTE / J. POSTIAUX ENTREPRENEUR" On houses of this type the architect and builder are normally content to remain anonymous.
