Memorial

Alphonse Renard

Statue: Alphonse Renard

Inaugurated in 1903 in square du Souvenir this statue was shunted to its current resting place in 1926 by the installation of the war monument which is now in the square. Renard’s motto "veritas liberavit eum" is supposed to be at the bottom of the plinth. If it's there the foliage is hiding it.
