Monument: Belgian Pigeon Soldier
Erection date: 8/3/1931
This monument is for the pigeon-fanciers (colombophiles) and, charmingly, also for the pigeons themselves (pigeon soldats). It was produced by Hano (architect, probably) and Voets who made the female figure symbolising "the gratitude of the nation".
