Minerva surrounded by Cupids. Minerva holds a giant medallion bearing portraits of Emperor Franz I and Empress Maria-Theresa. Lord Bruce was a political exile in Brussels for 40 years. He gave this fountain to Brussels in gratitude for the hospitality he received during that time. It was completed in 1751, after his death.
