Plaque: The First 2 Belgian Flags
Madame Abts had a haberdasher’s shop on this site. Her flags had the stripes vertical rather than horizontal. It was not until Leopold, the first king was in place that the configuration was fixed to be what it is today. Click on external link for more information.
