Hergé (the French pronunciation of R G), pseudonym of Georges Remi. Born Brussels. Buried at the Dieweg Cemetery at Uccle. A "bande dessinée" (strip cartoon) pioneer, in 1929 he wrote "Tintin et Milou" and his books became popular world wide, published in almost 30 languages. A truly famous Belgian.
