North-south junction
Event From 1935 To 1952
The idea of linking the North and South railway stations was first seriously considered in 1935 but World War 2 delayed the work. It was finished in 1952, causing the destruction of 1,500 houses, 20 alleys and the resettlement of almost 13,000 people.
